Active aging with virtual reality
Inclusive virtual reality sessions for older adults: short, supported, standing or seated, and designed to stimulate memory, movement and the joy of sharing.
Real workshop · Jerez de la Frontera
For many older adults it was their first time wearing a virtual reality headset, and this is how they experienced it. We want technology to reach everyone, because innovation has no age: it belongs to all of us.
What the science says
Research backs up what we see in every session. Recent scientific reviews find that virtual reality can help older adults improve memory and attention, gain balance and lose the fear of falling, and reduce anxiety and loneliness, especially when sessions are short and supported. It is a promising field that is still being studied, and that is how we tell it: no promises, just facts.

Real projects

Together with the Dos Hermanas City Council, we developed an active aging project using virtual reality for older adults. In the video, Marisol tells us about her experience (in Spanish).

With Jerez de la Frontera City Council, during Older People’s Week, we brought a workshop to the municipal office for older people (OMAd). Participants took part standing, in wheelchairs and with walkers: we adapted each experience to each person, always with one-to-one support.
For many it was their first time with a virtual reality headset. And the whole group cheered each participant on.
