Minifunkids Immersive Ocean

A calm educational VR experience for users aged 10 and over.

Ages 10+ · Meta Horizon “Mixed Ages” (10–12 and 13+)

Minifunkids Immersive Ocean is designed for users aged 10 and over. The experience is not directed to children under 10 years of age.

Minifunkids Immersive Ocean is an interactive virtual reality learning experience designed for mixed-age audiences aged 10+. Through four gentle ocean-themed activities, users practise attention, visual matching, direction recognition and object classification in a calm, low-pressure environment.

The experience has been designed with neurodivergent learners and users with special educational needs in mind. It can be enjoyed independently or as an educational resource with families, educators and professionals.

Age rating: on the Meta Horizon Store, Minifunkids Immersive Ocean is certified for Mixed Ages audiences, covering users aged 10–12 and 13+. Immersive Ocean is not directed to children under 10 years of age.

The experience is educational and is not a medical device. It does not provide diagnosis, medical treatment or therapy.

Four ocean-themed activities

Each activity focuses on one learning skill and takes place in the same peaceful underwater setting, with clear instructions, simple hand interactions and gentle visual feedback.

AttentionNotice and follow sea creatures as they move calmly around the scene.
Visual matchingMatch each item with the basket that shows the same picture.
Direction recognitionRecognise positions and directions within the 3D space.
Object classificationSort items into the correct group, for example by size.

A calm, low-pressure experience

  • Short activities with a gentle pace and simple, clear goals.
  • Played seated or standing, using hand tracking.
  • No artificial locomotion and no fast camera movement.
  • The activity area adjusts automatically to the user’s height.

Privacy

  • No account creation, login, chat, multiplayer, advertising or in-app purchases.
  • The app does not use the microphone or the camera.
  • At launch, the app only verifies the Meta entitlement and requests the user’s age category from Meta, as required by Meta.
